In 2016 I was inspired to start blog writing on FB by my sister in law Susan’s CaringBridge posts where she wrote about life with breast cancer. She passed in 2017. So now I write short stories of my life from a southerner’s perspective. Mostly are about my brother Jon and I growing up preacher's kids in the South.
Growing up sons of a minister in the South, brother Jon and I moved a lot as kids. Six different homes in three different states before middle school. We both say we wouldn’t change a thing.
We both got married a year apart. He married a hometown girl, had three boys and still lives in NC. I followed my wife back home to Ohio where we have two young adult daughters.
I’ve worked as a caregiver to the elderly for over twenty-five years now.
These are the stories of The Southern Drifter.
